Life in Los Angeles goes far deeper than the names on Hollywood Boulevard. This is a city stretched across a vast landscape, where people from every corner of the world form an endlessly shifting mosaic — a million small stories unfolding every minute.
The city never stands still. Museums rise. Theaters disappear. Everything is in constant metamorphosis.
I arrived here in 2005 wanting to document what television and cinema can't capture — the people, the corners, the moments that make Los Angeles truly itself. Whether I'm wandering downtown at 6:30 in the morning before the streets fill with noise, or standing in the middle of a Pride parade or Chinese New Year celebration, my intention is always the same: show things as they really are.
Local authorities and strangers I meet by chance have become my guides. Everyone here knows a corner of the city untouched by tourism.
Los Angeles is also a city of extraordinary food culture — from weekly Farmers Markets bursting with color and scent, to historic fast food stands and the ever-growing world of food trucks. Places like The Original Farmers Market and Grand Central Market draw both curious visitors and locals who know exactly which quiet corner to settle into with a book.
This project is about those rarities. A city that keeps changing, and always has something new to offer — if you keep your eyes open.
